To the rest of the world, Carrie Underwood is one of the most famous Grammy-winning singers of the millennium. But to her young son, she’s just a 70-year-old whose job is to do laundry.
After her 4-year-old son, Isaiah came home from school with a worksheet called “All about my mom,” the country star and mother of two revealed in a hilarious Instagram post that the youngster thinks his world-famous mom is 70 (she’s really 36).
Isaiah also wrote that his mom, who the rest of the world has observed co-hosting the Country Music Awards for the past 12 years straight, likes nothing more than to eat salads and watch TV.
When asked what her job is, he answered simply, “wash the laundry.” To really hammer home the point, the kiddo wrote that his mom is especially good at “folding the laundry.”
Guess it’s hard to impress 4-year-olds with 85 No. 1 singles, seven Grammys and the most album sales worldwide of any other “American Idol” contestant.
Still, the “Something in the Water” crooner took the cockeyed characterization in stride, posting on Instagram, “Soooo…apparently I’m 70 and I’m really good at doing the laundry,” garnering over 620,000 likes.
Her fans were charmed by the major mommy moment.
With her 10th wedding anniversary to retired NHL hockey star Mike Fisher in July, Underwood is open about how her life is all about family, which also includes 1-year-old Jacob.
She recently opened up about her body after her second baby, saying that she’s been “hard” on herself for not “bouncing back” as quickly as she did after her first pregnancy.
The songstress wrote in a touching Instagram post recently that one of her favorite things about her most recent tour was “having my family out on the road with me. I just hope I’m making my boys proud of their mama.”
